I get lots of emails and messages from men, women, and teenagers looking for “ that one best remedy” or “magic cream” that will resolve years of acne. (Similarly for eczema, dermatitis, and other skin conditions).
And I know how you feel! I use to suffer from bad acne in my teenage years. I wanted a quick one-stop solution too. It’s not just about the bumps and lumps on your face – it has such a huge impact on your confidence and self-esteem. I wish I had known about homeopathy back then!
So, I’d just like to explain a little about the process of what’s really involved when I work with someone struggling with acne. The video will also provide further information too.
Your skin is the largest organ in the body. One of its many jobs is to protect your organs from damage caused by external influences such as heat, light, or trauma. It also stops bacteria and other microbes from entering your system.
Your skin also has an excretory function and sweats to removes waste. It is an exit route for toxins that the liver, bowels, or kidneys do not eliminate. Often people with skin problems also struggle with digestive issues, constipation, bloating, or fluid retention. When we start working together, one of the things I explain to my clients is the importance of getting the elimination organs working properly. Then we can improve the skin.
An external eruption of acne is often a sign of an internal disorder. It could be due to hormonal imbalances, an overload of toxins, or a weak digestive system. It might also be due to food allergies, candida, nutritional deficiencies, or an infection.
Or, it could be a reaction to something the skin is exposed to, such as chemicals or a metal that aggravates the skin.
These are just some of the variables we have to consider when we are treating someone in homeopathy who has acne or a skin condition.
Homeopathy successfully heals acne by treating the person holistically and prescribing specifically to the individual’s needs. We are not all the same. The underlying cause of acne: your diet, your lifestyle, or other health conditions – these are all different. So too is your treatment plan.
During a consultation, I look at all these factors. I will prescribe a homeopathic remedy to address the underlying problem. This, in turn, allows your acne to heal.
So when I get that call or email asking for “the best remedy for my acne”, that’s why I can’t pick one off the shelf for you. There are 1000’s of possible homeopathic remedies. I’m trying to select one that is most similar to your situation.
Now, one of the biggest challenges in treating acne and skin conditions is committing yourself to stick around while “order is being restored”.
Sometimes the acne heals rapidly, as you will see from the testimonials and client cases on my website. But other times a more complex history will require more time. Either way – we are working towards a long-term solution. We are getting to the root cause of the problem so you can enjoy better skin, better health, and more!
Our symptoms are a signpost to what needs healing. Our body wants to heal itself. The homeopathic remedies act like a catalyst to help the body rebalance and restore good health.
So – to answer the question “what’s the best remedy for my acne?”. There is no one, best homeopathic remedy for acne. But there are specific remedies suitable to your needs.
